Hi, I'm Rachel...
I'm the founder, owner, and main photographer of Obscura Studios. I've been capturing peoples stories for over 15 years with digital and film photography, and have studied art, documentary making, and more in college as well as during my free time. I fell in love with photography because it's another art form for me. It allows me to paint with light and bring your stories to life via nostalgia, and a timeless view.
Something you might not know about me is that I started off as a watercolor and oil painter before completely falling in love with the art of film photography before transitioning to digital. I still paint in my free time and create props for my creative portraits using a plethora of mediums.
I work mainly in the areas of Philadelphia, Lancaster and York counties, as well as traveling up and down the East Coast to capture restaurant content and weddings, and portraits. I currently live in an old 1700's carriage house with my wonderful little dog named Wally.
